WHAT IS A HUD?
HUD or Head-Up Display is a plug & play automotive accessory that will display vital driver information, such as the current speed onto a reflective pad on a vehicle’s windscreen (which can be placed in a convenient spot of your choice). The Codebreaker GPS HUD uses GPS-calculated speed information, providing the driver with an accurate travel speed, regardless of the wheel/tyre size or other aftermarket modifications that could be affecting the accuracy of your vehicle’s speedo. The GPS HUD also allows the user to set an ‘Over Speed’ alarm and displays basic compass directions (North, South, East or West) above the speed. Installation of the Codebreaker GPS HUD requires hard-wiring to the vehicle ignition source.
The Codebreaker OBD2 HUD is suitable for use with any OBD2/EOBD compliant vehicles (manufactured in AU/NZ since 2007). Accessing data directly from a vehicle’s On-Board Diagnostics system allows this HUD to display your speed, water temperature and voltage. Set alarms so the OBD2 HUD can alert when the vehicle’s RPM, speed, water temperature or voltage are out of the desired range.
Both Codebreaker HUD units feature a Fatigue Driving Reminder and Brightness Adjustment which can be set manually or automatically.
